CARE AND AWARENESS
We continue to follow the More Than Just Great Dancing!® Safer Studio Guidelines which prioritize a hierarchy of safety and wellness measures including:
To prioritize everyone’s health and well-being as we return, we have a few important procedures in place, which are listed below. These protocols were written in consideration of guidelines from the CDC and the Eau Claire County Health Department. We all must remember that the protective measures we establish are, for a variety of reasons, unlikely to be practiced perfectly by young children, especially in an active environment. It is of extreme importance then that ALL adults—staff and parents alike—must be willing to adopt our protocols, monitor their health and their family’s health, and seek COVID-19 testing and isolation promptly if they suspect infection.
SAFER STUDIO PLANS
Our studio will focus on four key and realistic components to keep kids happy, healthy, and safe in their dance lessons this summer.
Pease note that for the time being, our lobbies will remain closed. This is a part of our phased lobby opening. Please plan for only your dancer to enter the building for auditions, keeping all other family members at home or relaxed in the car until it is time to retrieve your student. We encourage lots of friendly conversations and smiles in our parking lot with other families while still maintaining social distancing. 🙂
Before arriving at the studio, parents are required to screen their children for symptoms related to COVID-19 and other contagious illnesses, and children are not permitted to attend if any symptoms are present.
ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
We ask that parents not drop off more than 5 minutes early or pick up late and if students must wait between classes that they be taught to maintain a proper social distance to conduct friendly conversations. Masks are optional for all parents and students. Teachers will ask to hand sanitize the class coming in and out and ample sanitizer will be distributed around the facility. Please have your child bring a water bottle with them.
A PEEK INSIDE THE DANCE CLASSROOMS
Our staff are required to self-screen for the symptoms related to COVID-19 and other contagious illnesses, and are not permitted to work if any symptoms are present. Staff will be maintaining proper hygiene such as hand washing when they enter the building. If a staff member or student becomes ill, displays symptoms, or looks/acts unwell while on the studio premises, they will be isolated and sent home as soon as possible. DSD staff will be taking the attendance of everyone on the premises each day to assist in any contact tracing, should it be necessary.
Dance bags will come into the classroom to limit interactions at the cubbies and lockers. Our teachers will have a rotation system for ballet barre use and barres and will be thoroughly cleaned between users. Doable, safe distancing will be practiced while dancing with modifications in place to ensure maximum allowable space between individuals.
Floor markings will be present throughout the studio for ease with social distancing.
We are so excited to cautiously and responsibly welcome back our dancers this summer! If you have any questions about our Safer Studio Summer Plan please feel free to email us at info@diamondschoolofdance.com or call us at 715-577-1285.
Together we will continue to keep kids happy, healthy and safe as we grow together this summer!
